PRIVACY POLICY

Your details.
A clear picture.

Here is what Lake State Web Co. LLC collects, why we use it, and who helps us handle it.

Effective October 12, 2026.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers the Lake State Web Co. website and our handling of project inquiries, customer communications, and website subscriptions. “Lake State,” “we,” and “us” mean Lake State Web Co. LLC.

It does not replace the privacy notices of businesses whose websites we build or the independent services you visit through a link. Our service details explain project approval, billing, ownership, cancellation, and refunds.

2. Information we receive

  • Inquiries and messages: your name, email, business or project name, current website, plan and billing preferences, project goals, and anything else you choose to send us.
  • Project materials: business descriptions, content and shared-folder links, design preferences, and the contact details, hours, photos, or other materials you want included in your website. Only provide materials you have permission to share.
  • Subscription and support records: customer contact information, agreed scope, invoices, payment and subscription status, and cancellation or refund communications. Payment-card details are entered into Stripe’s checkout, not our project forms.
  • Technical information: our hosting and security providers may receive your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser or device information, requested pages, and request times when delivering and protecting the website or a form submission.

Required form fields are marked. You can leave optional fields blank or email us instead. Without the details needed to respond or deliver a project, we may not be able to complete that request. Please do not put passwords, recovery codes, payment-card details, government identification, medical information, or other sensitive documents into our forms.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to answer your inquiry, agree on a project, build and support your website, communicate about your service, match payments to approved projects, and handle billing, cancellations, and refunds. We also use relevant records to prevent misuse, resolve disputes, and meet applicable accounting or legal obligations.

A project inquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Materials you approve for your public website will be visible to its visitors once published; sending a private project brief does not by itself authorize us to publish it.

4. Services that help us handle it

FormSubmit and Google reCAPTCHA. Our brief, welcome, and cancellation forms send the information you enter to FormSubmit for spam screening and email delivery. Its submission flow may use Google reCAPTCHA, which processes technical and interaction information to distinguish people from automated abuse. FormSubmit can also send an acknowledgment to the email you provide. See FormSubmit’s privacy notice, Google’s privacy policy, and Google’s terms.

Google Gmail. Form submissions and messages are delivered to our business Gmail inbox so we can review and reply. Google processes that email under its privacy policy.

Stripe. After project approval, Stripe hosts checkout and processes payments. We receive customer and transaction information needed to manage the subscription, such as contact details, invoices, amounts, and payment status. Stripe also processes data for security, fraud prevention, and its own obligations. See Stripe’s privacy policy.

Vercel. Vercel delivers the website and processes technical request information for hosting, performance, and security. See Vercel’s privacy notice. Fonts and images used by this website are served with the site.

We may also disclose relevant information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or as reasonably necessary to protect rights and address fraud or security incidents. These providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their notices describe their own practices; they do not replace our responsibilities for information we handle.

5. Cookies and online tracking

We have not added advertising pixels, behavioral advertising, or audience-analytics scripts to this website. The site’s own page code does not set tracking cookies. Its fonts do not require a request to Google Fonts.

When you continue to FormSubmit or Stripe, those services can use cookies and similar technologies for their functions, including security and fraud prevention. Google reCAPTCHA uses a cookie for risk analysis. Those providers may recognize a browser across interactions with their services as described in their privacy notices.

Our page code does not change its behavior in response to a browser’s “Do Not Track” signal; it does not perform cross-site advertising tracking. You can manage cookies in your browser. Blocking them may affect a provider’s spam check or checkout. You can contact us by email if a form is unavailable.

6. How long information is kept

We keep inquiry, project, and subscription records for as long as needed for the purposes above. The relevant factors include whether a project or support request is active, whether records are needed for billing, taxes, a dispute, or a legal obligation, and whether they are still needed to explain the work agreed and delivered.

FormSubmit’s documentation says it retains form submissions for 30 days. That provider period does not automatically delete copies already delivered to our inbox or saved with a project. Other providers have their own retention practices. Contact us to ask about the information we hold and whether it can be deleted.

7. Your choices and requests

To ask about, access, correct, or request deletion of information we hold, email lakestatewebco@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Tell us the email or project involved and what you want us to do. Please do not send identity documents with your initial request.

We may need to verify that the request is yours before disclosing or changing records. Some information may need to be kept for legal obligations, security, or unresolved transactions or disputes. We will explain any applicable limitation. Your legal rights depend on the laws that apply to your situation, and this policy does not limit those rights.

To end a subscription, use the cancellation request or email us. A privacy or deletion request alone does not specify a subscription cancellation date.

8. Security and children’s information

The form-delivery service and Stripe checkout use HTTPS to encrypt information in transit. Please use Stripe checkout for payment details and contact us before sharing any restricted account access. No website, email system, or online service can guarantee complete security. Report a suspected exposure involving your Lake State project to lakestatewebco@gmail.com.

Our services are intended for businesses and people arranging website projects, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it, including deletion where appropriate.

9. Changes and contact

We will post revisions on this page and update the effective date. For material changes to how we handle personal information, we will also provide a prominent notice on the website or contact affected customers directly, as appropriate. We will obtain any additional consent required by applicable law.
